The property had a great location close to town, The description was spot on. The host was helpful and responsive with any issues and needs. Would stay again.

In terms of positives, place had a great view and was very clean, with nice underfloor heating in the bathrooms and a great gas fireplace and heaters. However - and we very rarely give anything but 5 stars as we are pretty easy to please - we found the beds to be very uncomfortable, and there was only 2 small bags provided for rubbish - any more incured a charge, regardless of the length of the stay and the lack of recycling bin (despite paying a cleaning fee). There was also not even cheap instant coffee / tea, which would be an easy touch to align with the fact the property is advertised on a site called airbnb (bed and breakfast), not air bed only. A very small amount of toilet paper was provided. All these details only became apparent once we checked in, otherwise we probably would not have booked for the price, given cheaper places offered the basics.

A really nice apartment with great view of the lake

We were a family of five who stayed at the Goodstays apartment for six nights. The location was great, just on the outskirts of the CBD area in Queenstown, offering both privacy and convenience. The kitchen was well-equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. There are a few flights of stairs to reach the apartment unit, and there is no lift, so carrying heavy luggage up can be a bit challenging. The garage entrance is also quite narrow. We were able to fit our 7-seater SUV, but it was a tight squeeze in and could be daunting for inexperienced drivers. The space inside the apartment isn't very large, but it was able to comfortably accommodated our family of five, including two young kids. If we had been a group of six, it might have felt a bit cramped. The host was extremely communicative and responsive, which we appreciated.

The apartment is in a great part of town with stunning views of the lake from the balcony and the living area. The kitchen was really well equipped with everything you could possibly need, but there was not anywhere much to store food as the pantry/laundry was full and lots of other people’s left over things. The living area was lovely with a great gas fire and heater so the place was very warm and cosy - we were there in autumn. The bedrooms were quite small but the bathrooms were clean and the showers nice and powerful with plenty of hot water. The beds were not particularly comfortable - bit soft and the pillows a bit flat.

The place was beautiful as shown in the pictures and not too far from the central area in Queenstown. All in all, the listing matched what was expected from the pictures and details. *However, a feedback to the host - Allan would be to be more considerate in his communication as he can come across as passive aggressive and a little unclear at times. Not bad enough to warrant a 4 star but had to leave it here in the review.

The property's location was lovely, however the listing states that it can accommodate up to six people, which I do not believe is the case and that it is suitable only for four. The property was filthy; one of the blankets on the bed had blood stains, and the other had a yellow stain which made it disgusting to sleep on and It's a 25-minute walk to the city centre.

It felt like home right away, the central heating was on and the view just makes it. Very welcoming. The place is like the photos besides the same as other reviews, it is narrower then it shows in the photos but that is it. Everything else was great, very accommodating. Will definitely be back.

Fabulous place. Everything that was promised in terms of inclusions, great fire, and powerful showers, and that most amazing view. I have one comment that I think another guest had made and I agree. It was not a problem AT ALL, but the wide-angle lens shots of the main area make it seem much bigger than it is. Again, not a problem, just a surprise when we arrived. Regardless, we loved it and would happily return. Recommended.

The photos of the property made it appear much larger than it really is, but that didn't matter because there was still plenty of room for what we needed as a family of four. The place was spotless. Being elevated and with a view, there are stairs and three doors to go through to get inside. This wasn't a problem for us, but if you're lugging large suitcases you may struggle. The garage is very narrow but you can squeeze an SUV in, so small cars will be a breeze. During our stay extensive civil works were underway and a number of roads were closed as a result. The detour into town was frustrating as was the traffic in and out. It must be painful for locals. It is certainly walking distance to the heart of Queenstown but there are hills. Although it's personal preference, the beds, linen and pillows were absolutely amazing and by far the best I've experienced. Not sure if there was meant to be, but there wasn't any soaps or shampoos in the bathroom.

This was a stay that felt like home. It has a fantastic view of Kelvin Heights and lake Wakatipu.

Awesome views, great bathrooms, bedrooms. Entire living area was really easy to use and very comfortable.

Beautiful views of the TSS Earnslaw route and Walter Islands, jet skis and parasailing from the balcony. Very clean home, stocked kitchen, had a beautiful working fireplace and smart TV!

Great Stay Positive: Loved the gas fire place and modern spacious unit. View is amazing. Short walk to town. Nice bathrooms. Negative: Terrible garages, poor design. Could only just scrape our car in. Saw many other people doing the same. Didn't like walking up 2 flights of stairs.

Highly recommended. The view is incredible, the apartment is spacious and the heating was great. It’s a close 5-10 minute walk into town (slightly up hill on the way back and a few sets of stairs but no problem). There was only a small bar of soap so bringing all essential toiletries is necessary and couldn’t find hair dryer. Would definitely stay again, thank you!

Great venue and location we found it best to just leave the car and walk into town as parking is a bit limiting in Queenstown.

Great spot easy walking distance to town, amazing view and nice and toasty warm. Great spot for a winter break.

Absolutely stunning review, A+ on location given 2-5min drive into town or 10-15min walk. The apartment was clean and tidy, only small thing was possibly the kitchen sink or washing machine filter needed replacing as there was a slight smell every now and then (no always). Aside from that, couldn’t fault the accommodation. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay there again ☺️
